I just want to confess my love for brunettes, I am definetely more attracted to brunettes then any other hair color. I find it sexy, but classy at the same time. Oh yea, brunettes know how to have a good time, despite what they say.

Wed, June 29, 2005 - 9:51 AMYou know, this is nice to hear. Growing up, I hated my black hair and dark brown eyes, wanting to be like Barbie, blonde and blue eyed. I was taught (via TV) that that was what beauty was. Its only been in the past few years that I have been able to happily embrace my "brunetteness". I beat my girls with the fact that they are beautiful, gorgeous brunettes and to never be ashamed of that! Thanks, Dave, for saying this.

Wed, June 29, 2005 - 8:15 PMI was born a brunette and became a blond once my baby hair fell out. I became a brunette once again after I had my daughter and have loved it every since. I fully enjoy my dark lucious locks and delight in the attention I get regardless of the color of my hair. My daughter once asked me if blonds have more fun. She proceeded to explain to me why she thinks they do (she is currently a natural blond at 8 years old). She said that I always have so much work to do while she gets to play. I giggled and thought of all the fun I have while she is sleeping. *blush* To all you brunettes, I LOVE YA!!!

I love my raven black hair more than I thought I ever would/could!! = ) And realizing the message and picture that certain media outlets put out there, I am making sure my girls never ever feel inadequate because they are not blonde and blue eyed. They are proud of their ethnic make up and the way they look and they have every reason to be proud!! = ) -

Here in Indianapolis, for whatever reason, most EVERY woman is blonde, and not naturally. So, you can almost conclude that when you meet a brunette, she's more comfortable in her own skin, self-confident, loves the look she was born with, etc. That definitely carries into one's personality or shows their intellect.
I'm all for our rights to change our image as much as we wish but when so many brunettes wish to be ritually blonde...that's just frightening.
