I have read many of your posts and your responses on Tribe and found that you few select brunettes to be the best looking, the most intelligent, the wittiest, cunning, yet coy at times, and over all just down right erotic. (I did hand/eye/mind select each of you, my lil angels)

If you didn't already know...

There have been rivals in Hollywood since the 1930's regarding brunette and blonde women. In my opinion, brunette women are more attractive. No one really can put an ounce of attactiveness into intelligence... but I find brunette women far more intelligent than blonde women. Why? I guess while the blonde is out trying to have more fun the brunette is hard at work, being loyal to herself, her mind body and spirit.

Mind you, that there are intelligent blonde women everywhere, there is nothing like an intelligent brunette, because, intelligence seems to just flow off of a brunette. Blondes have to speak it before you actually realize that they are intelligent. As for sex appeal, I find that more brunettes have more of an olive complexion.. a built in tan.. and what is more sexy than an olive complexion. Blondes tend to be more fair skinned while brunettes skin seems to be less frail. Brunettes have an ora about them.. mystical, erotic, and seductive. Blondes look decent in very few colors. Brunettes look great in every color. Again an opinion.

Most men don't appreciate the true beauty of the brunette female. They dont' get it.. brunettes make better spouses, more likely to be the first female president of the USA, are top in their career field, more likely to be honest, make more money, and better listeners and better with children, all opinions of Clairol's poll, (see below).

War with the blonde.. I'm tired of the matching off between blonde and brunette. We all know the brunette wins in the end.

Well, it's about time the bitch won over the ditz. It's time for Veronica to get Archie away from Betty, for Velma to bitch-slap Roxie out of Chicago, for Kathryn to run Annette into the ground, and for Faith to kick some Buffy ass.

I'm not too sure where the whole hair colour stereotype originated, but definitely the most popular rivalry is between Veronica Lodge and Betty Cooper from the Archie Comics. On the surface, they're best friends, but behind their backs they're always plotting against each other, with Betty thinking she can win Archie over with her "innocent blonde charms". Riiiiight.

Well everybody knows that Velma Kelly actually worked to get as famous as she did in Chicago, while Roxie Hart used murder to get in the papers. Alright, so they both committed crimes, but Velma's actions were justified while Roxie was just plain naive.

So this is my favourite rivalry: Faith against the self-righteous Buffy Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Faith didn't grow up with friends and family, so she's disadvantaged, but she's instinctive and she puts her heart into everything she does. Buffy clearly considers herself as superior to her and avoided her when her friends all liked her. Very Slayer-like.

Of course, where there's Buffy, there's Dawson's Creek. I don't actually watch the show and I only know that there was some point in time when Joey Potter and Jen Lindley were both into Dawson (I think). Well, judging on looks alone...okay, okay, that's not fair. But based on part of an episode I saw, Jen seems extremely ditzy, which is never good.

And even in the great Lord of the Rings trilogy, you have one of these rivalries: Arwen versus Eowyn. Arwen is the elf-princess ready to give up her immortality for true love with Aragorn, while Eowyn, the human, just sees him as hot stuff. 'Nuff said.

I think one could easily remember Jane Burnham and Angela Hayes in American Beauty. Jane wasn't interested in conforming, and she lived in a dysfunctional family and still came out on top. Angela lied to make herself seem superior and turned out to be no better than anyone else.

Let's face it: even though Kathryn Mertueil was the biggest bitch in Cruel Intentions, she put in a lot of effort to get into her position. What was Annette Hargrove in comparison? She started out as a bet! The sweet, innocent, little angel...who I believe had a boyfriend when she got it on with Sebastian. Hmm...strong morals there.

Once again, we bring in the huge stereotype. Blonde white innocent naive girl, aka Sara Johnson, meets gorgeous African brunette bitch, aka Nikki, in Save the Last Dance. But hey, at least Nikki didn't need special lessons to be learn how to be cool! Come on, that's just pathetic...and hey, Nikki was there first.

This might be one of the less popular ones, but anyone who's seen Undercover Brother knows that Sistah Girl is so much better than White She-Devil (or Penelope Snow...what kind of a name is that?). One's got game, the other is just a ditz.

Since Gilmore Girls is so popular, there has to be a brunette/blonde problem, so voila! They give you Rory Gilmore and Paris Gellar. They both talk much too fast...but anyways, Rory is much more level-headed while Paris' temper seems to fly all over the place. Although they've set aside their differences, it's clear that Rory can hold her own much better than Paris.

The show may be long gone, but the rivalry between Ling Woo and Ally McBeal in Ally McBeal is still so memorable. Who doesn't love Ling's growl and dominatrix attitude, especially compared to Ally's shy, meek personality? I think the competition is pretty clear.

When you've got a movie called Legally Blonde, you're bound to have a brunette rival for the heroine, in this case Elle Woods. Enter Vivian Kensington, the girl who deserved to be in Harvard and who actually got the marriage proposal without throwing herself at the guy.
