I have never dated, nor been with a blonde. I have always liked brunettes. Blondes are nice to look at, but that's about it. Also did you know that blondes age faster then brunettes.

My co-worker Tim told me the other day that his mom is blonde, and that blonde just turn him off (tho he does like his mom) :)

He prefers brunettes, the darker the better...

While I can completely understand a preference for brunettes, in your co-worker's case it could be nothing more than a subconscious repression of an Oedipus complex! ;)

Wait a minute....I thought the Oedipus complex was a desire to do your mom. If his mom is blond and blonds turn him off, then he doesn't have an Oedipus complex. He just doesn't like his mom ;-)

Parisa... We know what you're doing... you're trying to imitate a blond! Good one! You know perfectly well that he would avoid her if he was trying to REPRESS his desires for her!

                  Hi Parisa....

You have to excuse me... I am a silly kinda guy and was trying to poke harmless fun at all the armchair psychoanalysis that was going on .....

But just to keep it light (Smile) ... here are a couple ones

Q: How many psychologists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: None, the bulb will change itself when it is ready.
A2:Only one, but the lightbulb has to WANT to change.

I am of the opinion that psychology/psychiatry is a lot like meterology ... in that they are both best characterizing what already happened ....

Of course I will get lots of flak from all the mental health professionals out there ..... Hey its just my opinion ....

                  Be Happy Dear ...

No flak from me. I enjoy shrink jokes. Makes my job a little easier.

Could it be because somewhere in their subconscious they are being influenced by the 'dumb blonde' sterotype and think the blond woman can be more easily manipulated, seduced, and will be an easier lay?
Or is it because the WASP-dictated social/cultural labels in general in our society on color are that lighter implies more innocence and purity, and this makes for a more desirable conquest because it's a boost to their egos to say they have acquired such an increasingly rare prize?
Not a line of thinking I follow, just throwing it out there (too much residual sociology course material still in my head, I suppose).

I can't fully explain my preference for brunettes, which further leads me to believe it is one of those attractions that is animal in nature. Genetic, subconscious, animal instinct, opposites attract, whatever you want to call it.

On an intellectual level, it makes no difference to me, and the attraction is not exclusive. I have been with blondes before and am with one now.

But all other things being equal, on a purely physical level, I will find myself more sexually attracted to a brunette than to an equally attractive blonde.

And part of it is that I like big brown eyes, which natural blondes seldom have. Those rare natural blondes with brown eyes and tan skin drive me wild.

Of course, those rare creatures with deep blue eyes and a lush head of beautiful brunette hair also drive me wild. As do certain red heads. It is just a preference.

Intellectually, the only thing I can say for why I don't idealize the blue eyed blondes the way most men do is that I find them a bit dull. While they may be very pretty, they are usually not exotic or wild enough for my liking. I take blondes for granted, I guess. If I was from some place where blondes were rare, I would probably think they were exotic and would be more attracted to them.

Yeah, I like all kinds of dames, except the shaved head look doesn't do much for me.

But all other things being equal, I prefer brunettes. And I don't really know why.

Does anyone really know what forms the basis for their attractions? I mean, we can all agree on some basic objective criteria for what is attractive (symetry, porpotion, health), but if shown a large number of equally attractive females, why does one guy tend to prefer the blondes and one guy prefers the bruntette and yet another guy the redheads?

Why do we love those brunettes, damnit!

Andy, "Why do we love those brunettes, dammit!"

Because you have really great taste! We are simply the BEST!

That is circular reasoning, but I'll accept it.

We have a tendency to "LUST" after a blonde, but deep in our hearts, we have "PASSION" for brunettes. I know I do. :-)

                Mon, December 12, 2005 - 11:24 PM
Nah... I can't agree with that one! I have a "LUST" for many attractive women, regardless of hair color. I have a "PASSION" for darker hair... brunettes in general, auburn for pale-skinned freckled females, and the deepest brunette, or black, for Asians.

I've dated blonds, some of whom were extremely attractive. But as far as I'm concerned, they don't stir my juices like a beautiful brunette!

All this talk has definitely dissuaded me from going blonde like I had been thinking about doing...

If we can keep just one brunette from bleaching her hair, then our purpose here has been served!

Well, going blonde will attract certain types of guys, and staying natural will attract other types of guys.

I think that guys who appreciate natural hair color are a higher class generally

Whenever I have been into blondes, it was natural blondes. Dyed blondes leave me cold, and the dark roots are just - not classy. It may be a sexual turn on for some guys, and it may work for Shakira, but ...

                    Stay bruntette!
